About Perry Behavioral Health
- About Perry Behavioral Health
A Program Built Around Trust
Perry Behavioral Health is dedicated to supporting middle and high schoolers during challenging times when outpatient counseling may need a boost. We’re more than just a resource; we’re a welcoming Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) designed specifically for adolescents facing identity exploration, mood fluctuations, and related challenges.
Our program embraces a positive approach: teenagers flourish when they receive honest communication, stay connected with their families, and are treated with the respect they deserve as individuals on their journey of growth. We believe in empowering young people to thrive and become their best selves!
- Creating Positive Paths
Why We Exist
Many families turn to us after exploring outpatient therapy and facing challenges. Their child might not need inpatient care, but weekly counseling isn’t enough to support their progress. This space, between “manageable at home” and “hospitalization”, is where Perry Behavioral Health thrives.
We provide care for kids displaying important warning signs like withdrawal, mood swings, early substance use, disrupted school performance, or suicidal thoughts, addressing these issues proactively and helping to prevent them from escalating into emergencies. Our focus is on creating positive paths to resilience and well-being for every child.
- We Don't Treat in Isolation. We Treat Families.
Our Approach
Clinical process, not worksheets.
Family involvement, not family updates.
- Structure That Feels Like Life, Not Treatment
Life on Campus
Our vibrant campus in Perry, GA, offers a co-ed program with thoughtfully designed housing for boys and girls, accommodating up to 30 clients in each building. We have a dedicated clinical space for therapy, group sessions, and operational activities. Daily life here is structured yet feels like a supportive transition into adulthood.
Mornings begin with a delicious breakfast and an engaging community group, followed by gender-specific therapy sessions and online schooling to keep academic progress steady. In the afternoons, we focus on grade-level group therapy, and in the evenings, we enjoy relaxing downtime, art therapy, and fun activities tailored to the interests of our current group of teens. The weekends bring delightful outings to local parks and engaging community activities.
Our treatment programs typically last 3 to 4 months and are designed to foster genuine stabilization while ensuring that teens stay on track both academically and in life. It’s a wonderful opportunity for growth and renewal!
- What We Treat
What Makes Us Different
We view co-occurring substance use as a vital indicator of deeper mental health needs, which allows us to provide comprehensive care rather than separate programs. Many adolescents we support are in the early stages of exploring substances as a means to navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, family dynamics, and identity exploration. Instead of separating “addiction” from “depression,” we embrace a holistic approach, offering support for eating disorders and integrating medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when beneficial.
We also prioritize transparency regarding the reputation of some adolescent treatment programs. Unlike those that isolate youth from families or obscure communication, we foster open relationships by involving families in the actual treatment journey. We believe that building trust is the key to successful outcomes, ensuring that everyone is informed and engaged in the healing process. Together, we can create a supportive environment that truly helps young individuals thrive.

An Honest Alternative
We know the reputation some adolescent programs carry — isolating kids from their families, keeping them away for long stretches with little transparency. That’s not what we do. Perry Behavioral Health is built on openness: with your child, and with you. We show you the real process, not a polished version, because trust is what makes treatment work.
